Presenting team 3: dragdis

Good day, everyone! If you've missed out on all happenings across the StartupHighway space, we've pulled together some of the more notable events of these past few weeks on our blog. So, let's start this week with good news. Yes, we are presenting one more team - dragdis. Three guys - Domas, Eugenijus ir Karolis are developing something that will make your life way easier. Hey, how are you?

 

Excited as hell!

 

 

A team member from the last year Acc’r told me once that his initial reason for coming to Acc’r was a trip to space. He wanted to go to space, take a photo of Earth and tag his all friends.

So, what’ is yours?
 

To create something that would help others to create.

 

 

What’s the name of your company?
 

“Dragdis” - it means "drag discoveries". "Dis" is kinda equal to "this" so you can use our name in a sentence like "drag dis image to save"

 

 

What you do? 

 

We are building a web app which is "Fastest and easiest way to save and organize images you discover on web!"

Creative professionals everyday browse the web to discover design, art, advertising, technology and so on. And they save the images that they find interesting, useful, inspiring to folders on their computer. And it's a nightmare for creatives later to find something in these folders! We made this saving and organizing as simple as drag and drop.

You can save and organize almost any image from almost any website in 2 seconds!

You will never want to go back to "Save image as" after using our tool.

 

 

How did you come up with this idea?

 

Domas was a creative at an ad agency and he encountered this problem everyday. As well he saw how other creatives had the same problem and were kind of searching for tools, but not finding them. So the mind automatically started working on this problem.

When you have a real problem to get an idea for solution is quite easy, but to get an idea for a great solution needs hard work with trial and error!

Before we came up with this Dragdis.com idea, there were 3 other solutions that we tried, but they didn't work as we wanted. 

 

 

 

What expectations do you have in terms of expansion and revenue?

 

Our product is relative to almost any person that browses web, but we are starting by aiming at young visual creators from USA, UK. We imagine that one day people will feel stupid if they have to save images with "save image as" and organize it in a folder on their hard drives :)

 

 

 

What’s next after Demo Day?

 

There's an iOS, Android apps on our product roadmap. We plan to have a stable beta soon after demo day and then start a journey to a million users like a drag racing car!

 

 

 

You’ve been talking with mentors for a number of hours, how was it? Do you have a favorite one?
 

It’s unbelievably great! We would have spent years to figure out things that we figured out with mentors in a month.

No "blurry" answers, no "maybe" answers, they really do accelerate you!

 

 

 

Is something you would like to tell to other start-ups?
 

Work hard, make something, then throw it away and make something completely new.
